Welcome Abby

Please join us in welcoming Abby Fawks to the Freedom Home Care and Medical Staffing team. Abby is working in our Medical Records Department and we are thrilled to have her! Abby graduated from Truman State University and decided to advance her education by taking online courses in medical billing and coding. It was these courses that sparked her interest in focusing on a career in the medical field. “I love being able to maintain records, keeping things neat, organized and up to date,” she explained. “Some people struggle with paperwork and don’t like it, but the truth is, I find it relaxing!”

Personal Life

In 2021, Abby moved to Park Ridge, Illinois from Springfield, Missouri. She lives with her girlfriend, Lizzie, their two cats, Cornelius (Corn) and Zelda Mae, and a multitude of house plants. Abby has a younger brother who is attending school in Missouri and a younger sister who lives in Texas. “I’m excited to be part of the Freedom Home Care team,” said Abby. “I love working with the caregivers and nurses to keep the records in perfect order,” she added. “I feel very fortunate to be doing something I’m passionate abut with people I enjoy.” And, we are certainly fortunate to have her on our staff!
