We officially have our heroes from January! Freedom Home Care is full of various heroes that improve the lives of their clients and fellow staff. This month we have picked Teresa and Zolo! Learn more below:

Teresa Domiguez- Caregiver

We are so excited to honor Teresa Domiguez as the caregiver of the month. Teresa has so much experience in the medical field. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She retired 3 years ago as a dialysis technician and administrative assistant at a dialysis center. Teresa also was a medical assistant, medical education residency coordinator, international sales associate, purchasing agent and executive secretary. After she retired she found herself wanting to help others.

She really enjoys helping seniors that need assistance with their daily activities. Teresa is fascinated by the amount of knowledge seniors have to offer. The best part is hearing their stories in the work force. Teresa says that seniors are so educational and amazing to listen to. She really loves to learn about each client because they are different in their own way and their life experiences are like reading a book. Teresa overall feels so lucky. She has had several positions in her life and she has learned from each of them.

She was born in Tampico, Mexico and came to Chicago at the age of 9. In her free time, she loves spending time with her nieces, nephews and now grand nieces and nephews. Seeing them grow up gave her a great taste of motherhood. She also loves reading, sewing and watching movies. Teresa hopes caregivers are around when she becomes in need of help so she can have a caregiver to lean on. She feels that that getting old is not so bad after all, it’s a blessing!

Freedom Home Care feels so lucky to have Teresa on their team. Her clients see her passion and they are so relieved to know she will help them with their daily needs. The office staff said she is such a pleasure to have as part of the Freedom Home Care Team and always goes the extra mile.

Zolzaya “Zolo” Batjargal- Caregiver

Freedom Home Care is happy to announce that Zolzaya “Zolo” Batjargal was nominated for caregiver of the month. We are so excited to recognize a job well done. When she was a young girl, she helped her older sister care for her niece with special needs. It was an experience that always stuck with her and gave her such a warm feeling to help someone special to her. She also has fond memories of spending summers with her grandparents in the countryside of Mongolia. Zolo always had a desire to help others and wanted it to be a full time commitment.

Nine years ago Zolo decided to become a caregiver. She always feels such joy when she builds relationships with seniors. As soon as Zolo started working as a caregiver, she found that she could really relate well with older individuals. She really enjoys being around older people and learning about their experiences and families. When she is not working she enjoys spending time with her daughter and her boyfriend. They like to play games, watch movies, and cook together.

We are thrilled to help celebrate Zolo as Caregiver of the Month. It’s a title well deserved!
