Earlier this week, we here at Freedom Home Care reported the opening of our new Wellness Center at the Homestead at Morton Grove. We mentioned how the new facility is geared at improving the lives of Freedom Home Care patients as well as those residing at the Homestead. Today, however, we would like to take the opportunity to introduce the Homestead and explain why we chose to work in conjunction with such a reputable organization.
As its name indicates, The Homestead at Morton Grove has the ability to make retirees feel just as much at home as they ever did. Located at 6400 Lincoln Ave. in Morton Grove, Ill., one of Chicago’s northern suburbs, the exterior has the look of a modern apartment complex with the interior exuding the same classic yet contemporary vibe.
Common areas include a great room, a library, a game room, a four-seasons room and a business center as well as a private dining room for visiting family members to gather together in big groups. Other on-site conveniences include a full-service beauty and barber shop, a fitness center – and now, a brand-new wellness center.
Therefore, the retirement community truly boasts the best of both worlds. Seniors 62 years old and older can maintain their independence as a resident in one of the 82 apartments of up to 1,257 square feet while enjoying a maintenance-free way of living. Unlike the host of obligations required prior to moving into the Homestead, residents can take advantage of pristine grounds and spot-free community rooms without worrying about who’s going to mow the lawn or dust the bookshelves.
More important perhaps is the peace of mind afforded by those who choose the Homestead as a place to live after retirement. Residents can rest easy knowing that the Homestead features on-site staff, a secured main entry with an intercom system as well as the “Call-Em-All” phone system, which can automatically call or text every phone number on a resident’s personal contact list.
We here at Freedom Home Care are incredibly proud to partner with the Homestead at Morton Grove. And even more so, we’re happy that now we, too, can call it home.
